Teacher Axed After Telling Kids to Call Pedos ‘Minor Attracted Persons’

Words have meaning. That’s something one Texas teacher learned after a video circulated of her saying something to students that alarmed parents.

High school teacher Amber Parker is caught on video saying, “Stop it. We’re not going to call them that. We’re going to call them MAPs. Minor-attracted persons. So, don’t judge people because they want to have sex with a 5 year old.”

The district conducted an investigation and fired Parker after parents were understandably concerned about the clip.

However, other parents of children in the classroom say there’s more to the story.

According to them, the teacher was intentionally defending a standpoint she does not agree with as she prepared students to read their next novel, The Crucible by Arthur Miller.

One parent said of the video clip, “After hearing from some of the students that were in the class, including my own nephew, I believe now that the teacher that appeared to be promoting and normalizing pedophilia was pretending to advocate a position she didn’t actually believe in order challenge the students in preparation for them reading the book The Crucible.”

School Board President Al Velarde says that, nevertheless, the decision has been made to fire the teacher. She will be given a chance to appeal.

  • When they start to normalize pedophilia and teach kids it’s ok for perverted men woman to touch them that’s when everyone needs to wake the f**k up. Anyone that condones this is seriously sick in the head and this teacher should be fired for even uttering these words. Go back to teaching math and English and quit flooding kids heads with this bs!

  • The police need to look into this teacher. The only people trying to get rid of the term pedophiles are actual pedophiles. Period.
