Survey Reveals That ‘Classical Fascist’ Antisemitic Views are Widespread in the US

By the last decade of the 1900’s, it seemed that antisemitism was on the wane in the US. Prejudices and hostility seemed to be fading.

However, the past few years have seen it roaring back as bad as ever.

A survey released Thursday by the Anti-Defamation League shows that it’s prevalent again – and rising with classical fascist views.

Matt Williams, the vice president of the ADL’s Center for Antisemitism Research, told The Washington Post this week that the survey shows “antisemitism in its classical fascist form is emerging again in American society, where Jews are too secretive and powerful, working against interests of others, not sharing values, exploiting – the classic conspiratorial tropes.”

According to the researchers at the ADL’s Center, nearly 4 in 10 Americans believe it’s “mostly or somewhat true” that “Jews are more loyal to Israel than the America.” Over one-third believe Jewish people don’t share their values and “like to be at the head of things.”

1 in 5 Americans believe Jews have too much power in the US, don’t care what happens to others, and are more willing than other Americans to use “shady practices t get what they want.”
