Studies Show Women Are Now Paying for Dinners in Relationships

Splitting the bill on a date has long been discussed and debated among couples. However, in recent years, there has been a shift towards women taking the initiative to pay for the meal. According to a survey conducted by Bank of America, almost two-thirds of women like Tawny Jordan feel that they should contribute to the cost of a date.

The study also found that younger women between the ages of 18 and 34 are more likely to offer to pay the bill than older women. This is likely because younger generations focus more on equality and breaking traditional gender roles.

Despite this shift, some men still insist on paying for the entire meal. The survey found that 47% of men believe they should always pay for the meal, even if their partner offers to contribute.

Additionally, some societal pressures still make it difficult for women to offer to pay. According to a survey conducted by Glamour, 39% of women feel pressure to let the man pay on a first date. While there is a shift towards women offering to pay for meals on dates, some men still insist on paying (like gentlemen).
