Tensions between the United States and Russia are reaching dizzying and terrifying new heights this week.

Russia has informed the United States that they will be holding their annual Grom military exercises, which involve maneuvers of its strategic nuclear forces.

Even though it’s an annual exercise, the current state of things has increased the stakes.

Russia is claiming that Ukraine has plans to use a “dirty bomb” on its own soil, and President Joe Biden has warned Russia against making things worse. Russia claims that Ukraine plans a false-flag operation to blame Russia.

Biden said, “It would be a serious, serious mistake” to use tactical nuclear weapons, believing Russia may intend to launch a “dirty bomb” and use a false-flag excuse as a cover. Biden adds, “I’m not guaranteeing you that it’s a false flag operation yet. I don’t know.”

Russia’s Deputy UN Ambassador Dmitry Polyanskiy said to the media, “We’re quite satisfied because we raised the awareness. I don’t mind people saying that Russia is crying wolf if this doesn’t happen because this is a terrible, terrible disaster that threatens potentially the whole of the Earth.”
