Ever since COVID-19 burst onto the scene in late 2019/early 2020, people have wondered where exactly it came from.

We know cases first started spiking in Wuhan, China, but the answer as to the source of the virus remained somewhat elusive.

People had their theories and speculations – but now one group believes we know fairly conclusively.

The US Energy Department has released the results of an investigation in a report that says they’re somewhat confident that the virus leaked from a lab in China. But they reaffirmed the idea that this was not the result of a Chinese biological weapons program.

The White House declined to agree, saying that there are a variety of opinions among the intelligence community – which is true, there’s no solid consensus – and that it remains under investigation.
