Rapper PnB Rock Murdered in Los Angeles Just Trying to Enjoy a Dinner

Things in Los Angeles are out of control. There has been a recent spate of high-profile jewel robberies in the LA area, leading to a promising young rapper named PnB Rock being shot to death at Roscoe’s House of Chicken N’ Waffles in South LA. Although it’s not confirmed, PnB is believed to be the most recent victim of these serial criminals who has operated around Los Angeles since 2021.

The 30-year-old, whose real name is Rakim Hasheem Allen, was approached by the murderer Monday around 1:20PM. The two argued before the suspect robbed Allen, shot him multiple times, then took off in a car.

Allen’s label confirmed his murder, writing on Instagram, “PnB Rock was more than an artist. To many, Rakim Allen was a great friend. He was also a wonderful father to two beautiful little girls.

This news is heavy on our hearts and we are all hurting over this senseless loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.”

Allen has been recording since 2015, but he didn’t have an easy life. He grew up in Philadelphia’s Germantown and got his name PnB (from the intersection of Pastorius and Baynton streets). Allen’s father and uncle were both killed when he was very young, and he himself spent some time in prison at the age of 19 on drug-related charges.

But his time behind bars inspired him, connecting him with other hard-life creatives who helped inspire his recording career, which included a Billboard Hot 100 single called “Dangerous” with Meek Mill and Jeremih.

RIP PnB Rock
