Powerade Pulls Ja Morant Ad in Aftermath of Gun-Flashing, Strip Club Incident

Powerade is scrapping a massive ad campaign surrounding Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant in the wake of his recent gun-bearing incident at a Colorado strip club.

Morant was set to become the face of Powerade as they embark on sizable re-branding overhauls.

It is unclear whether the beverage company has fully dropped Morant from the brand, but they have scrubbed the 23-year-old from their social media profile and website for the time being.

Morant has been away from the Grizzlies since flashing a gun on his Instagram Live broadcast during the early hours of March 4.

The NBA has not issued any punishments, nor were any police charges filed, but there remains no timetable for his return to the team.

This comes on the heels of other unsavory incidents involving the All-Star over the past year, including punching a 17-year-old in the head and having his entourage flash reported gun lasers at members of the Pacers.
