During the COVID lockdowns, it made sense that trash was backing up.
With disruptions to basically every city service due to quarantines and restrictions, snafus were inevitable.
So why does New York still look like a dump?
In the post-COVID era, NYC continues to struggle with its image, trash piling up in the streets.
Staffing struggles combined with higher-than-usual consumption is creating the perfect storm as one of the world’s richest cities continues to live slum life.

Who just Walks outside of their home and puts garbage bags on the streets?
That’s how they throwaway trash in NYC.
So sad to see a city just left like this. This shouldnt be what America looks like
We have to come together as humans and get this cleaned up. We put it there, we have to remove it.
