As if there was any doubt, Kansas City Chiefs superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes is the betting favorite to take home NFL MVP honors this season.

The 27-year-old won MVP last season, as well as in 2018, but only two players have won the award in consecutive years since 2009.

Mahomes (+700) sits in front of AFC rival Joe Burrow (+750) for the honor. 

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen (+800) finds himself third in betting odds while Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts (+1100) rounds out the top four.

A plethora of quarterbacks fill in the rest of the betting odds list before Christian McCaffrey (+8000) and Justin Jefferson (+10,000) find themselves in contention.

Generally speaking, a statistically-inclined quarterback on one of the best teams in the league is a likely winner of MVP.

Perhaps this is only the second time since 2007 that a non-QB player accepts the illustrious title.
