Influencer and model Madi Tev shared a story from early in her modeling career that is going viral. She explains that she went to an unpaid event with the goal of creating images to circulate for work opportunities.

One of the agents pulled her aside and commented that she was getting “too soft,” It set off a whirlwind of self-doubt and unhealthy crash diets to try to stay relevant and keep getting work.

The model then explains that people often make offhand comments without realizing how much impact they can have on someone’s career or life.
