It’s a weird way to own your competition, but liberal independent candidate Mike Itkis starred in a porn vid to show he was running a “sex-positive” campaign.

It’s a challenge to Democrat representative Jarry Nadler in New York’s 12th congressional district, his rival.

Itkis calls himself a “liberal, independent, non-married, childless atheist,” and now he can add “adult film star” to his portfolio.

The film, called “Bucket List Bonanza,” starred adult film actress Nicole Sage and was uploaded to PornHub over the summer.

Itkis is pushing to legalize sex work and says that posting his own videos proves his commitment to helping the industry.

Itkis said in a statement to City and State, “If I would just talk about it, it wouldn’t demonstrate my commitment to the issue. And the fact I actually did it was a huge learning experience, and it actually influenced items on my platform.”

He has said, “I’m very much an introvert. I’m kind of a nerd who doesn’t like to be the center of attention if I can avoid it. But I thought the issues I’m trying to address are so important. I wanted to have my issues talked about in some way.”
