New York City Mayor Condemns Hamas and Stands with Israel at Vigil and Rally

New York City Mayor Eric Adams delivered a strong message to Hamas as thousands of New Yorkers, interfaith leaders, and elected officials came together on Tuesday for a Manhattan vigil and rally in support of Israel, while denouncing the terrorist group Hamas.

Addressing the audience at “The New York Stand with Israel Vigil and Rally” in Manhattan, Adams expressed the city’s unwavering support for Israel and condemned those responsible for the deadly attack on Israelis that occurred on Saturday. He also called attention to pro-Palestinian protests in his own city.

“We are not okay with it when, right here in the city of New York, there are those who celebrate while devastation is unfolding in our city,” Adams asserted. “Israel has every right to defend itself. Your struggle is our struggle.”
