The world has been waiting with bated breath for more updates on the condition of Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin ever since he collapsed on the field during a Monday night game.
So far, no news has been good news as the 24-year-old battled back from the brink.
Now, there is some good news – and he’s showing signs of improvement.
The Buffalo Bills released a statement saying that tests show Hamlin is “neurologically intact,” meaning that the cardiac arrest he suffered and 9 minutes of CPR didn’t irrevocably damage him from a neurological standpoint.
The team’s statement added, “We are grateful for the love and support we have received.”
He still has a long way to go and is still listed in “critical” condition, but it’s a start.
Meanwhile, fans are flooding Damar Hamlin’s charity, Chasing M’s, with donations for the player to see when he’s feeling better. The foundation’s GoFundMe has been flooded with high-dollar donations from donors across the NFL and the world.
Glory to God!
