Morgan Wallen Fans Furious After Concert Canceled Minutes Before it Should Have Started

Stars can’t help when they get sick, especially while on tour.

But they can help when they cancel shows they know they can’t perform.

And fans of Morgan Wallen are upset after he waited until the very last minute – minutes before he would have appeared on stage – to send them home and cancel his Mississippi concert.

Opening acts had already performed and around 60,000 people were in the stadium awaiting Wallen’s appearance, when a message appeared on the screen reading, “Ladies & gentlemen, unfortunately Morgan has lost his voice and is unable to perform tonight – therefore tonight’s show has been cancelled.”

A voice over the loudspeaker explained, “Please make your way safely to the stadium exits. Refunds for tonights [sic] event will be available at point of purchase.”

While some people expressed sympathy for Wallen, others felt let down and as though their time had been wasted.

And yet others suggested that Vaught-Hemingway Stadium powers-that-be knew that Wallen couldn’t perform, but allowed fans to fill the stadium so they could earn money off their alcohol and merch purchases.

On his Instagram stories, Morgan Wallen explained that he had “spent the day resting up, talking to [his] doctor and working through [his] vocal exercises” before ultimately realizing he was still “unable to sing.”

“I am so sorry,” he added. “I promise you guys I tried everything I could.”
