MMA Fighter Elias Theodorou Dead at 34

A former UFC fighter, Elias Theodorou, has died at the age of 34 after a long battle with cancer.

Theodorou was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer, but kept it under wraps – only telling close family and friends.

Out of the octagon, Theodorou was known as a kind person with a big smile and a heart of gold. In the ring, he was a fierce fighter with an 19-3 record that included wins over Ery Anders and Sam Alvey. Elias also advocated for medical marijuana in a sport where pain control is a constant need, considering it to be safer for his peers than many other available options.

While Theodorou’s career was cut short in his prime, he leaves behind a legacy of sportsmanship and talent that will remind those who come behind what they strive for: integrity, courage, and a winning spirit.

RIP Elias.
