Men’s Final Four is Set in Unlikeliest March Madness Ever

We all know March Madness is well… madness, every year.

But this year, more so than ever, the hoops hysteria has reached new heights.

While upsets abound seemingly every tournament, usually a couple top seeds survive the carnage and make it out of the fray.

Not so this year, as it was the first time that a single No. 1 seed did not make it to the Elite 8.

Alright, well how about those trustworthy No. 2 and No. 3 seeds then?

Also departed. It is the first tournament since 1979 where the Final Four schools were all seeded No. 4 or lower.

So, as we watch No. 9 Florida Atlantic battle No. 5 San Diego State and No. 5 Miami take on No. 4 UConn this weekend, we will do so knowing that we are watching the unlikeliest quartet of college competitors maybe EVER.

Embrace the beauty of the madness.
