We’ve all seen the headlines: ‘Martha’s Vineyard residents welcome migrants with open arms.’

After Florida Governor Ron DeSantis paid to fly two planes full of migrants from Texas to Massachusetts, local residents made a big stink about how welcoming they were and how happy they were to give them a safe place to land.

The migrants, for their part, said they were deceived and told that there were jobs waiting for them when they landed – in what they expected to be Boston.

But never to be out-dicked by the likes of Texas Gov Greg Abbott (who bussed some migrants to Kamala Harris this week), DeSantis plopped them down in a blue town to watch the chaos like a little kid with a magnifying glass and an ant hill.

And Martha’s Vineyard did not disappoint, because they actually managed to out-dick DeSantis themselves.

After making a big fuss about how welcome the migrants were, and how they would never turn someone away, they’re doing exactly that.

The people were loaded on buses to be sent to Joint Base Cape Cod, according to officials.

There’s nothing like calling someone callous and inhumane, just to one-up them and do exactly what they did.

But that seems to be the political game this week, and the ones paying the price are the migrants desperately hoping for a safe place to lay their heads at night.
