An unnamed assailant is behind bars for throwing a beer can at Ted Cruz during the Astros World Series victory celebration.

Cruz has long been unpopular, but for the most part, people keep their criticism to japes and boos in public.

One man, whom police have not named, took it further.

He threw a can of beer at the Senator on a float in the Houston Astros’ victory parade.

Cruz retweeted a video of the can being thrown, writing, “I’m also thankful that the clown who threw his White Claw had a noodle for an arm.”
