Kanye Suspended from Twitter After Nasty Anti-Semitic Rant

This is not a week of moral wins for Kanye West.

The rapper now known as “Ye” has been inspiring controversy since last Monday, when he wore a “White Lives Matter” shirt to a Yeezy show in Paris – joined by conservative commentator Candace Owens.

Since then, he’s gone on several unhinged rants online (and then deleted them), including accusing his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and family of kidnapping his kids to turn them against him, the public of not supporting him as a Black father, and going after critics with bullying tactics.

But he took it too far on Twitter after he went on a vile anti-Semitic rant and is now suspended from the social media platform. This comes on the heels of a suspension from Instagram for similarly nasty anti-Semitic posts.

Once Instagram kicked him out, Ye turned to Twitter for the first time since late 2020 and posted an image of himself next to Meta (Facebook and Instagram’s parent company) founder Mark Zuckerberg with the caption, “Look at this Mark. How you gone kick me off Instagram.” Elon Musk waded into the fray, welcoming West back to Twitter. And then things went sideways – as only Ye can manage.

Early Sunday, Ye informed the public that he wanted to go “death con 3” on Jewish people.

He wrote, “I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE   The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.”

Twitter says West has been blocked due to a “violation of Twitter’s policies.”

I ask again: is there a mental health professional in the house?
