UPDATE 10/22/2022: The image above is the first sighting of James Corden since the restaurant issue. Corden is now backtracking on his apology to Balthazar owner Keith McNally.
Corden told the New York Times, “I haven’t done anything wrong, on any level.”
More importantly, the vehicle he drives is quite gangster … doesn’t seem to match the drapes.

When you watch him on tv, comedian James Corden seems friendly enough.
But one famed NYC destination restaurant says nope – he’s a total asshole.
Balthazar has banned Corden from their establishment, and the owner took to Instagram to blast him and explain exactly why he’s not welcome back.
The store’s owner, Keith McNally, wrote, “James Corden is a Hugely gifted comedian, but a tiny Cretin of a man. And the most abusive customer to my Balthazar servers since the restaurant opened 25 years ago.”
He went on to say, “I don’t often 86 a customer; today, I 86’d Corden. It did not make me laugh.”
He gave two examples of why the British funny man is no longer welcome back, including:
- After eating his main course, Corden supposedly showed a hair to the manager, who apologized. Corden then supposedly was nasty to the manager and said, “Get us another round of drinks this second. And also take care of all of our drinks so far. This way, I write any nasty reviews on yelp or anything like that.” [sic]
- Corden was at the restaurant with his wife for Brunch, and a number of snafus led to them receiving incorrect dishes. Corden supposedly snapped and began yelling, “You can’t do your job! You can’t do your job! Maybe I should go into the kitchen and cook the omelet myself!”
Maybe Corden should stick to the humor and not quit his night job – harassing waiters doesn’t seem to work for him.
He is awful and not funny
