In a speech before the US Congress this week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused Iran of allying with Russia and sending them drones for use in strikes on Ukraine.

Iran is hitting back against Zelenskyy, denying (again) that they’ve supplied drones or other military equipment to Russia for use in Ukraine.

Iran’s foreign ministry asserted that they respect all countries’ territorial integrity.

Foreign ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani was quoted in a statement saying, “Mr. Zelensky had better know that Iran’s strategic patience over such unfounded accusations is not endless.”

Kanaani also suggested Zelenskyy should learn “from the fate of some other political leaders who contented themselves with the US support” although he did not clarify who he means.

Kanaani’s demurral comes just days after he said Iran would “not seek permission from anyone” to expand Iran’s ties with Russia.
