Hunter Biden’s legal team filed a lawsuit against the IRS on Monday, accusing its agents of “targeting and attempting to discredit” the president’s son.

Biden’s lawsuit, submitted on Monday morning, highlights two key instances involving IRS agents Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler, who acted as whistleblowers alleging misconduct in the IRS’s handling of its investigation into Biden.

The lawsuit aims for the court to officially declare that the IRS disclosed Mr. Biden’s confidential tax information “willfully, knowingly, and/or through gross negligence” in violation of the law.

Furthermore, Hunter Biden is seeking $1,000 in damages for each unauthorized disclosure of his tax returns, including any disclosures that occurred after the fact.
