TikTok user Paul Bodirlau, with the username @user_ladiesman217, created a quick theory about “how girls choose a boyfriend.” Bodirlau calls it “The first place theory.”
“What this refers to is the concept of first place in her head, which is the guy she’s emotionally invested in,” the TikToker says. Adding, “Girls can only be emotionally invested in one person, so that’s why first place is literally the only one that matters.”
Bodirlau explains that as a guy you need to have at least two out of five qualities in order to get a girl to date you.

He tells his followers that timing is very important alongside those two qualities. As a guy, it’s important that you spend time face-to-face with a girl before another guy can in order to build up the necessary emotional connection. Without getting to know each other in-person, you’re allowing another guy to slide in and take the first-place spot.
Bodirlau shared a lengthy example of how his theory works and speaking from a female perspective, it’s a pretty solid theory.
