TikTok user @jeanene333 came across a grocery receipt from July 16, 2000. She began her video by pointing out a detail that everyone probably questioned from the start, “First of all, how did this receipt survive 23 years? Stater Bros must have some crazy paper.”

She says, “Look at all the items I got for $104.”

The social media user continues the video pointing out items on the receipt, such as diapers and steak, costing just a fraction of what they do today.

“And, when you bought your moisturizer at the grocery store and it’s like ‘Oh my gosh that’s so much,’ It was actually like only $8.99 for moisturizer. I mean, moisturizers now, you’re lucky if you get them for 20 bucks.”

She pointed out that some things haven’t risen too drastically, for example, eggs. The TikToker also saw that there was cherry Pepsi for $1.39, a price you can’t even get water for anymore.
