Graphic Bodycam Footage Shows Police Breaching School and Confronting Nashville Shooter

In newly released dashcam footage from Nashville police, officers can be seen rapidly breaching the school and checking classrooms before confronting the suspect.

The suspect, 28-year-old Audrey Hale, killed three children and three adults at Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee, before being killed in a stand-off with police.

In the video, police can be seen arriving at Covenant and almost immediately entering the school, finding the suspect a few minutes later and engaging in a brief shootout which ended with Hale on the floor, dead or dying.

The footage was released almost immediately after the shooting, in stark contrast to what happened in Uvalde, Texas. Police there were criticized for taking over 1 hour and 14 minutes to enter the school and confront the shooter. During that interim, the shooter at Robb Elementary School murdered 19 students and 2 teachers.

The quick resolution at Covenant is clearly due to the police responding rapidly and immediately engaging the suspect.

  • Thank God for the Nashville Police! This is so horrific, we NEED A BAN ON ASSAULT RIFLES!! How many more kids need to die for this country to care?! Innocent lives, our own children, are being taken at the hands of greed. Enough is ENOUGH!
