When you become famous, you’re going to have friends that appear from the woodwork to try to ride your coattails.

Such is the case with Alix Earle, an influencer who has skyrocketed to superstardom over the past year.

In one video going viral, a pal of Earle’s is questioned about who the most famous person in her contacts list is, and she immediately dials Earle up for some clout.

It was totally awkward, but Earle was as sweet and as gracious as ever.

Unfortunately, she’ll have to learn that with fame comes “fake friends” – and the need to start weeding them out eventually.
