FBI Director Christopher Wray has issued a grave warning about the escalating number of terror threats against the United States, with particular concern focused on the potential emergence of lone actors imitating Hamas-style attacks on U.S. soil.

While, Wray, who heads the federal law enforcement agency, spoke about the need for heightened vigilance and awareness among law enforcement agencies regarding the potential ramifications of the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He delivered this message during his address at the International Association of Chiefs of Police annual conference in San Diego on Saturday.

Wray emphasized the historical existence of antisemitic and other forms of violent extremism and stated, “We remain committed to continuing the confrontation of these threats.” He further elaborated, “In this increasingly tense environment, it is undeniable that we are witnessing a surge in reported threats, and we must remain vigilant, especially concerning individuals who might draw inspiration from recent events and choose to commit acts of violence on their own.”
