FACTZ Confirmed: New Orleans Saints Signing Quarterback Derek Carr To Four-Year Contract

The New Orleans Saints are signing four-time Pro Bowl quarterback Derek Carr to a four-year contract, according to multiple reports.

Carr, who turns 32 this month, became a free agent after the Las Vegas Raiders released him in a cost-cutting move.

He endured a rocky 2022 season that saw him compile a 6-9 record and a 60.8% completion rate that was far below his normal mark. Carr was benched for the final two games of the season.

Despite the unceremonious end, Carr became the Raiders’ all-time leader in passing yards and touchdowns during his time with the team.

He will now look to fill the Drew Brees-sized shadow that has existed in New Orleans since their former Hall-of-Fame QB retired.
