Exclusive Update: Despite reports that Ed Sheeran left fans outside in the Las Vegas heat while he grappled with production issues before inevitably canceling his Saturday night show at Allegiant Stadium, FACTZ has obtained photos that show otherwise.
Fans were let into the venue and received selfie time with Teddy himself after the devastating news of the rescheduling less than an hour before he was to take the stage.
Original Report: Ed Sheeran fans in Las Vegas were met with unexpected disappointment when they received news via Instagram less than an hour before the concert was scheduled to start that it was canceled and rescheduled for late October.
The statement on Instagram read:
“I can’t believe I’m typing this but there’s been some challenges encountered during the load-in of our Vegas show. It’s impossible to go forward with the show. I’m so sorry. I know everyone has traveled in for this, and I wish I could change it. The gig will be postponed to Saturday, October 28th, and all purchased tickets will be valid for that date. I’m so, so sorry x”
The cancellation announcement came after Allegiant Stadium first announced at 5 p.m. that the show would be “significantly delayed” and promised an update on social media at 5:30 p.m. However, the update wasn’t provided until 6:31 p.m.
Russ, the scheduled opener for the concert, also expressed his disappointment via social media, stating, “I know y’all are upset that the Ed show got canceled tonight. I’m bummed too. But it’s out of his control and certainly out of mine.”
