Why is Discovery Channel Protecting a Pedophile? Josh Harris Continues to Avoid Public Scrutiny

Earlier this month, FACTZ broke a story about Captain Josh Harris from Deadliest Catch, and it caused shock waves to ripple through the fandom.

When he was 15 or 16, Harris digitally, vaginally and orally assaulted a 4-year-old-girl, the daughter of a neighbor and deckhand for father Captain Phil Harris.

Josh’s semen was found at the scene of the crime, and in a horrific twist, some of the evidence taken from the scene included blood in multiple places. Although the assault happened in 1998, Josh wasn’t arrested until 1999 – over two decades ago.

It’s all public record that Josh pled to a lesser charge of assault 4 and immoral communication with a minor, serving 9 months in prison and undergoing a psychosexual exam before release.

And yet – he was hired by Discovery to become a popular family reality star. Discovery told RadarOnline after FACTZ broke the story, “We’ve been made aware of this issue. Josh will not appear in future episodes of this series,” referring to Deadliest Catch: Bloodline. They’ve removed all trace of him online on their pages. He was officially axed from the channel.

Which sounds all well and good except for the fact that they still haven’t addressed the matter publicly – which means fans all around the world are continuing to interact with Harris under false pretenses, meeting him, wanting autographs, thinking he’s still a good guy. Discovery has completely fallen asleep at the wheel on its responsibility to warn the public about the menace and predator they rocketed to stardom.

Harris’s status as a predator should be national news, but from Discovery Channel- crickets.

People are getting canceled for far less these days, so where’s the public outcry? As long as Discovery is trying to keep their massive failure to keep the public safe under wraps, people continue to be put at risk. It’s unacceptable.
