Broncos’ Top Receiver Jerry Jeudy Carted Off Field With Hamstring Injury

The blows keep on coming to the Denver Broncos wide receiver depth chart.

Jerry Jeudy, the team’s top receiver, is set to miss several weeks with a hamstring injury after being carted off the practice field on Thursday.

The 24-year-old pulled up lame after running an end around play at full speed.

It does not seem like the ailment should hamper Jeudy’s season-long outlook, but his Week 1 status is in jeopardy. Jeudy will undergo an MRI to determine the full extent of the injury.

The Broncos are already massively shorthanded at wideout after losing Tim Patrick for the year to a torn Achilles and Jalen Virgil to a torn meniscus. KJ Hamler was also released earlier in the offseason after he was diagnosed with pericarditis.

Denver quarterback Russell Wilson is coming off the worst season of his professional career, and these continued injuries to his weapons do not bode well.

Despite that, the Broncos currently sit as 4.5-point favorites for their regular season debut against the Las Vegas Raiders.
