Bed Bath & Bye-ond: Staten Island’s Last BB&B is Closing for Good

Staten Island residents will soon no longer be able to access Bed Bath & Beyond.

The last store on the island is closing for good.

Shoppers in the area can duck in for good deals, but it’s sad that local residents bid the retail store goodbye.

Bed Bath & Beyond was once a staple in nearly every city of size – hitting its peak in 2013 with a market value of $17 million.

However, the company was slow to implement a digital option to compete with stores like Amazon and has fallen behind.

The store’s closure is part of a 150-store closure the company is implementing as part of its “optimization strategy,” according to a statement from BB&B.

A closing date has not yet been set for the Staten Island store, but it’s coming soon.
