Balenciaga will return to Paris Fashion Week in March, ending speculation that the brand would be persona non grata after an ad campaign scandal rocked the company last year.
Fashion guru @stylenotcom announced the news on January 30 by posting the date and time of Balenciaga’s Fall/Winter 2023 runway show (March 5 at 11:30 AM Paris time).
Saba Bakhia (@demnagram), a fan account that was eventually hired to work with Balenciaga as the brand’s official news outlet, also posted about the show.
However, Balenciaga has yet to address it directly.
Balenciaga was blasted in November for running a holiday ad campaign that pictured children alongside teddy bear purses that seemed to be wearing BDSM gear.
The company eventually apologized, but its image was tarnished forever. A number of high-profile celebs, including Kim K, stopped sporting the brand in public – marking its fall from superstar to shame.
