Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis Acknowledge the Impact of Character Letters Supporting Danny Masterson

In a joint video statement, actors Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis addressed the controversy surrounding the character letters they wrote in support of their “That ’70s Show” co-star, Danny Masterson, who was recently sentenced to 30 years to life in prison for two counts of rape.

The couple clarified that their intent was never to question the legitimacy of the judicial system or undermine the testimony of the victims. Instead, they were asked by Masterson’s family to write these letters to provide a character reference based on their 25-year relationship with him.

They expressed regret if their actions inadvertently caused pain to the victims and emphasized their ongoing commitment to supporting victims of sexual assault.
