The world of cryptocurrency may be facing an uncertain future, but one company believes in it: American Express.

They had originally hoped to create a cryptocurrency-linked credit card (which completely defeats the purpose of crypto, if we’re being honest) but they have decided to still hitch their horse to the cart of crypto.

AmEx will be offering crypto rewards, now that they’ve teamed up with digital-assets service major Abra.

Announced last week, the Abra Crypto Card allows users to earn back crypto on any purchase, no matter the amount or category.

Cardholders will be able to choose from more than 100 cryptocurrencies supported on the Abra platform, and there will be no annual or foreign transaction fees.

The card also comes with Amex Offers for shopping, travel, dining and services along with presale ticket access and purchase protections.

Abra CEO Bill Barhydt said in an interview with CoinDesk, “This has been a long time coming and is the first American Express crypto product.”
