Alix Earle ‘Kinda Loves’ That Taking Lexapro Makes Her Heartless

In a new #GRWM, social sensation Alix Earle opens up about the stress of trying to bounce between end-of-the-year classes and Coachella, which she’s headed West Coast to celebrate this week.

And Earle mentions about halfway into the video that she forgot to take her Lexapro all weekend. Lexapro is an SSRI antidepressant drug that is used to treat depression and anxiety.

Earle explains that she has been taking Lexapro since she was 15 and that it makes her kinda “heartless,” but that she loves it. And acknowledges that her anxiety may be higher than usual because she hasn’t taken the drug in days.

Users of Lexapro often report feeling “numb” or “disinterested” in day-to-day happenings or emotions, which could be what Earle is referencing when she calls herself “heartless.”

Nonetheless, she pulls together a slick black fit for a night on the town.
