HOT HOUSE

Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s Georgia Home for Sale for Just Under $2M

The Alpharetta, Georgia, former home of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, is where the series “Being Bobby Brown” was filmed and is now for sale.

For just $1.9M, you can own this sprawling 7,743-square-foot home in rural Georgia.

The Chevalier family bought the five-bedroom home in 2007, and it’s now up for grabs again.

The house is part of a gated golf community with ample amenities and a beautiful and updated take on a southern mansion.

New owners will be able to enjoy an enormous living room boasting a vaulted ceiling and large windows filled with natural lighting. A spacious dining room is also perfect for entertaining groups, both large and intimate.

On the lower terrace level, the listing states that there’s a “mahogany bar, billiards/game area, bedroom/full bathroom, exercise, and an open media room with a 150-inch drop-down screen.”

Other amenities include updated lighting fixtures and an invisible-edge saltwater pool (with a spa).

The cook in the family will love the features-loaded chef’s kitchen with high-end appliances, a wine/coffee bar, and an octagonal breakfast nook.

The master suite is on the main level and features dual closets, a coffee bar, and a beautiful bathroom with a soaking tub. Upstairs, three en suite bedrooms boast newer hardwood floors.

Current owner Danielle Chevalier has never seen the series that was filmed in her home and, although she’s a fan of Whitney and Bobby, says it never factored into their decision to buy the house.

Chevalier explains, “The home is a one in a million for sure. I am not sure if Whitney Houston owning it would make a difference to the next buyer, but it certainly could for some. Hopefully, someone will love living here as much as I did. All of the neighbors said while [Brown and Houston] were living here. They were really nice. We were out of town when she sadly passed away. The phone was ringing off the hook, asking us for interviews. We declined them all at the time out of respect for her.”
