Get Out and VOTE: Eric Swalwell Releases New Hard-Hitting Ad ‘We Won’t Go Back’

Eric Swalwell, US Representative for California’s 15th congressional district, has a habit of releasing ads that strike to the core of current events.

In 2020, he partnered with Taylor Swift to release an ad using her song “Only the Young” to encourage young people to get out and vote.

As we now know, young people were effectively energized to vote in 2020, and their voices did impact the results. Now, Swalwell is hoping to repeat that enthusiasm with midterm elections just days away and to remind people of what’s at stake.

The new ad, produced by Tracy Falco and edited by Eleven Films, harnesses the energy of “We Won’t Go Back,” a powerful anthem by MILCK, BIIANCO & Autumn Rowe.

The video starts with now-VP Kamala Harris questioning now-SCOTUS Brett Kavanaugh during his pre-appointment hearings, asking him his thoughts on abortion laws pertaining to control of a woman’s body.

Swalwell appears next in the clip, asking, “Would a 10-year-old choose to carry a baby?”

The video then rolls back to milestone moments over the past few years, with brief clips from Rachel Maddow addressing gun laws and abortion. Maddow warns that if the SCOTUS continues on its path, same-sex marriages could be next on the chopping block.

The video wraps up with several young Gen Z citizens promising, “we won’t go back.”

Swalwell’s ad is a timely gut punch as the nation faces the potential of a Congress (over the next four years) limiting voting access and continuing to restrict individual liberties through the SCOTUS.

It ends with a single entreaty: vote.

Watch they will claim rigged midterms. It’s the central platform many right wingers are running on in 2022. Trump discusses the stolen election weekly.

I don’t dismiss other sources. I’ve probably listened to Mike Lindell, read GatewayPundit, Newsmax, … more than any other sources. Their reasoning is comical. Look no further than Newsmax retracting their election and Dominion claims. Sydney Powell in court arguing “no reasonable person would conclude that [her] statements were truly statements of fact.”

Rudy and company have a chance to make their point in court. Let’s see how that goes.
