Miami Heat Use Dominant Fourth Quarter To Even Up NBA Finals

The Miami Heat scored 36 points in the fourth quarter as they evened up the NBA Finals with a 111-108 victory over the Denver Nuggets on Sunday night.

Miami trailed by as many as 15 points in the second quarter and were down 83-75 heading into the final frame.

They quickly flipped the script by going on a 20-2 run to start the fourth quarter, taking a lead they would not relinquish.

It was another gritty team effort for the Heat as Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and Gabe Vincent all scored 21+ points in the win.

Nikola Jokic was his typical dynamic self for the Nuggets, posting 41 points and 11 boards in a losing effort. Notably, the Serbian big man only had four assists in the game after putting up 14 dimes in Game 1.

Jamal Murray was quiet for most of the game before hitting a couple of clutch shots in the final minutes. He had a chance to tie things up at the buzzer, but his three-point attempt would not go.

The underdog Heat have certainly made things interesting after pundits wrote them off again following the first game of the Finals.

Game 3 will be back in Miami on Wednesday night.
