Nikola Jokic Leads Nuggets To Verge Of Western Conference Finals

Nikola Jokic continues to perform at a rarified level of statistical dominance in the NBA Playoffs.

During Tuesday’s assertive Game 5 win over the Phoenix Suns, the Denver Nuggets big man produced another numerical masterpiece.

Jokic put up 29 points on 12-of-20 shooting to go along with 13 boards and 12 assists.

It was the tenth playoff triple-double of his career, which broke a tie with the great Wilt Chamberlain for most by a center in NBA Playoff history.

Jokic also set another record, becoming the first player ever to record 175+ points, 65+ rebounds, and 50+ assists over a five-game span in the playoffs.

The Serbian superstar, who also put up a career-high 53 points in Game 4, now has his team positioned to advance to the Western Conference Finals with one more victory.

“If we play the way we did today,” Jokic said, “we’re going to have a chance.”

Game 6 goes down on Thursday night in Phoenix.
