Will SNL Survive Without Pete Davidson

SNL starts the first work week of its 48th season with a lot of new faces. Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant, Kyle Mooney, Melissa Villasenor, Alex Moffat, Aristotle Athari, Chris Redd, and Pete Davidson are leaving the cast. Marcello Hernandez, Molly Kearney, Michael Longfellow, and Devon Walker are joining the cast.

This year’s season debuts with Miles Teller as the host and Kendrick Lamar as the musical entertainer. The show has lost fans over the years since they have gone to a wholly woke format. Last year’s season debut with Owen Wilson as the host was ranked as the lowest-rated episode in the show’s history.

Former castmember Rob Schneider said the show was “over” when Kate McKinnon opened the show dressed as Hilary Clinton singing “Hallelujah” with no jokes.

Internally with the show’s cast, many of the recent former castmates were over the ‘Pete David Show’ as he only had to be at NBC on Friday and Saturday, missing the writer’s meetings at the beginning of the week.

A former cast member tells FACTZ, “I can’t believe they allowed Pete to get away with as much as he did. The meetings earlier in the week are part of history. I can’t believe they allowed him to get away with it.”

Davidson was even allowed to miss a taping for a friend’s wedding one week, and it was never addressed.

New cast member Marcello Hernandez will take the place of Davidson as the show’s heartthrob, making strong cameos on Weekend Update. Hopefully, Saturday Night Live returns to its roots, which is just funny. Make fun of the left and the right, be funny and let go of their political beliefs.
