Three children and three adults were killed early Monday in an “active shooter event” at Covenant School, a private Christian elementary school in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Covenant School was founded in 2001 as a ministry of Covenant Presbyterian Church. Students served are in preschool through 6th grade, and the school enrolls an average of 200 students per year.

The incident started just after 10AM, and nearby Vanderbilt University Medical Center received casualties.
